REBRANDING PROJECT

The Ocean State Curling Club (OSCC) is a non-profit curling organization in Rhode Island. The club currently has an existing logo and assorted apparel. As a member of the club I took on rebranding the club as a personal project (this was not presented or implemented).

The clubs current logo reveals a curling rock "surfing" on a wave. The mark is a detailed illustrated scene. The small detail in the illustration has the potential for a challenging reproduction when applying embroidery or silk screening on apparel.

As you can see in the artwork on the left, I decided to simplify their current logo while maintaining the curling rock "surfing" in the ocean. Accompanying the simplified logo, I included a style guide for the clubs main target uses ie: color palette, fonts, a new tournament logo and a variety of apparel.

The club is a diverse group of individuals which prides itself on being inclusive. To align with the clubs inclusive nature, I created alternative logo marks to show support for a variety of organizations which reflect the spirit and identity of its membership community.
